Betley FC Hawks score nine in seasoner opener

MATCH REPORT

A really good and assured performance saw The Hawks' get their season underway in the Mid Cheshire Youth League.

There were a good many positives from every area of the pitch... reflected really well by a good spread of penetrating passes, assists and goals coming from all players particularly across our attack and midfield areas.

Our captain today Isaac G led our defensive line superbly well and our 'covering and control' developed with Rowan CR, Will G, Harry B and Fin W all commuincating well together the more the game unfolded. Both Jude CR and Louis B demonstrated good hands, a cool calmness and really good distribution from their goal whenever they were called upon.

Jack D worked hard, and with Louie A out this week, adapted really well as he took up a slightly deeper role in midfield in the first half, Fin W and Joseph B provided good options, width and assists and worked hard box-to-box, Charley HJ and Jacob S made well timed runs and converted some goals for their efforts. One notable moment was seeing Jacob S take a sublime first touch to turn and beat their central defender to make certain of a well deserved hat-trick. Well done Jacob S.

I was genuinely delighted with everyone's hard work and committment today. Great work boys... I'm sure we have some super proud parents.
